Leadership
Meet the leadership team
Les brings more than thirty years of experience within transport and logistics to RSEV Consulting. Before moving into consulting, he owned and ran a driver tuition business in the UK, personally holding a Grade 6 licence — the highest instructor grading — with his business providing professional instruction across PSV, Class 1 and Class 2 vocational licences.
That grounding gives Les something few software consultants can claim: a working knowledge of the drivers, vehicles and operating pressures that fleet technology ultimately serves. He understands what a driver sees from the cab, what an operator needs from a transport office, and where safety technology genuinely changes outcomes on the road.
From driver training, Les moved into consulting across software, telematics and safety technology, where he now applies that operational perspective to RSEV's client engagements — ensuring that every system we specify works not just on paper, but in the real world of transport and logistics.
Richard has spent his career at the intersection of vehicles, software and data. As a founder, CEO and senior consultant across the video telematics, GPS tracking and fleet safety technology sectors, he has built and scaled B2B SaaS and IoT businesses serving customers from SME fleets to enterprise and OEM programmes.
His hands-on delivery experience spans the full software lifecycle: leading requirements gathering and functional specification for large connected-vehicle platforms, structuring and prioritising multi-hundred-item product backlogs, shaping post-MVP roadmaps against competitive benchmarks, and project-managing development teams through to release.
Richard also advises on the video enablement of traditional telematics platforms — the architecture, hardware and integration decisions that turn a tracking product into a full video telematics proposition — and on the practical, commercially grounded application of artificial intelligence within fleet software, from edge AI and driver monitoring to AI-assisted operations.
Through RSEV Consulting, he brings that operator's perspective to clients: not theory, but the judgement that comes from having specified, built, sold and supported these platforms first-hand.
